Abstract：
An office building consists of 18 ground floors and 1 underground floor, covering a gross building area of 20 228.87 m2. Local dismantlement is at a high altitude and under a complex environment, and it is of great difficulty to protect the finished lower structure which will not be dismantled. Transverse and longitudinal dismantlement sequences were determined and dismantlement methods were introduced for main structural components. The dismantlement scheme took into consideration the dismantlement characteristics, surrounding conditions, existing equipment and construction schedule. Safe, economic and fast construction purposes were realized.
